Fathers Day activities

This year for fathers day the children have made paper weights, coasters and fridge magnets.

I will start with the paper weights which are really simple and limited cost.

I took my children to the local park and we went down the river and collected stones, we gathered decent size ones that the children would be able to decorate well.
They brought home the stones and we washed and dried them, we then used decor pens and acrylic paint (acrylic paint works better than normal poster paint), you can also use glitter and sequins etc to decorate. After the stones were dry we varnished them with satin varnish but you can also use Pva glue although this isn't water proof.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog, i am currently a childminder who is a qualified nursery nurse. I am always looking for new activities to do with my children. I have been writing a childminding blog for my parents and thought that I could also do one that could help professionals working with children and parents expand there knowledge of activities and things to do as we all hate to hear those words "I'm bored"
